Work from students on my pottery for beginners class. They're very inventive and skilled. So far covered slab pots, pinch pots and tiles but such variety and style already!

still some free spaces in our courses
We still have some free spaces in our courses: wednesday 1-3 intermediate and advanced ceramics ....and there are still free spaces in our wheelwork courses, they take place on Mondays and Fridays 2pm - 6pm. You can book them here: Monday and Friday . This is what you will learn in this course. Learn how to throw a pot on the wheel. By the end of the course you will..... -Have thrown your very own pot. -Learned how to alter thrown work. -Have explored different decorating techniques and will have a finished glazed pot to take home. Introducing our Potters: Amanda Cairney
I fell in love with clay after joining a local pottery group about 15 years ago, I loved it as soon as I touch it, the possibilities of what you can make are endless. Wanting to learn more I studied for my degree in ceramics at Glasgow school of art and after graduation I set up my own studio at my then home in Yorkshire. After moving to Birmingham I joined the fabulous group at Sundragon Pottery and have potted there very happily ever since. Amanda's Work:
