Jasmina lives in Solihull, UK where she has been working as a geotechnical engineer for nearly thirty years. She first discovered clay when she enrolled in an evening class, and fell in love as soon as she experienced the tactility of clay and its immediate response to her hands. She later obtained a City and Guilds certificate in Design and Craft in the context of ceramics. Jasmina's work is inspired by nature and life forms. The shapes of seedpods, shells and other underwater creatures have influenced her vessel forms. The rhythm of the landscape, such as the patterns created by wind blowing across the sand, or the rhythmic gradation of the beach from sand to gravel arranged in carefully sorted bands by the tide, are the inspiration for the texture, colour and surface quality of her work. Jasmina has exhibited in the RBSA gallery since 2013 and is a member of Midlands Potters' Association.
